Preparation Guide for Ayurvedic Pregnancy Superfoods

 

1. Soaked Almonds Milk

 

Ingredients:

  • 5–6 almonds (soaked overnight, peeled)
  • 1 cup warm cow milk
  • A pinch of cardamom (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Blend peeled almonds with a little milk into a paste.
  2. Boil the rest of the milk.
  3. Add almond paste and cardamom, stir well.
  4. Drink warm in the morning.

2. Ginger Tea

 

Benefits:

Rich in gingerol, shogaol, and zingerone, ginger tea relaxes gastrointestinal muscles, reduces inflammation, and alleviates nausea and cramping by acting on serotonin receptors.

How to Prepare:

  1. Peel and slice 1–2 inches of fresh ginger (or use ½ tsp ground ginger).
  2. Boil 1.5 cups of water and add the ginger slices.
  3. Let it simmer for 10–12 minutes on low heat.
  4. Strain into a cup.
  5. Add honey, lemon, or a pinch of turmeric (optional) for enhanced flavour and benefits.
